HERR, Benjamin, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, March 16, 1797 in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pa.; attorney; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1843 and 1844; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1845); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1848); died, September 17, 1866 in Dillerville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery, Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
